For years, Olympic and World Championship gold medalist Bode Miller has been wondering when the same would be true of skiing. Now, he’s taking matters into his own hands to deliver the digital experience the sport has been lacking.
On Tuesday, Miller and Swiss startup Snowcookie Sports CEO Martin Kawalski launched SKEO, a digital ski platform. For the first time, skiers will be able to objectively measure their performance, improve their skills, exchange stats and access coaching tips through a free app. More detailed and immersive assessments to upgrade the experience can be accessed by using three wearable sensors—one on the chest and one on each ski.
